Deadly Story got the opportunity to sit down and chat with former Fitzroy Stars Football and Netball Club CEO, Troy Austin.
Troy is a proud Gunditjmara man and has been involved with the Stars since the mid-70s. He is a life member along with being a former CEO and club President.
We sat down with Troy to chat about the Stars and what it means for community and how the stars provide a space for young people to gain and maintain a connection with their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity and culture.
“Be proud that you come from a strong heritage – the oldest living culture in the world”
